Step into Come and Go, an innovative dual-screen installation by artist Rose Butler that reimagines how we experience movement and perspective. Inspired by the flowing Serpentine dance, this new prototype shifts the viewer’s gaze from a grounded, linear viewpoint to an aerial, detached perspective-mirroring the transition between physical presence and digital surveillance.
The installation explores the blurred boundaries between human observation and technological monitoring. It features interactive playback technology that responds to audience movement-the more active you are, the more immediate and “live” the playback becomes. This dynamic creates a playful yet thought-provoking interaction, inviting viewers to consider their role within systems of visibility and control.
