Manchester’s City Centre Cruises has joined The Quays Partnership, the team that promotes The Quays as a tourism destination in Britain. The Quays is Greater Manchester’s stunning waterfront destination and home to some of the most spectacular attractions and iconic buildings in the UK.
The partnership is comprised of the Northwest’s best cultural, sporting and leisure destinations, including The Lowry, IWM North, part of Imperial War Museums, Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester Cruises, Mersey Ferries and the Lowry Outlet. Also, included in the partnership is The Old Trafford Lodge and The Copthorne Manchester, Salford & Trafford Councils, the Manchester Tourist Board, Marketing Manchester and MediaCityUK.
A family-run company, City Centre Cruises specialise in an exclusive cruising restaurant and a party boat. Having operated the boats for over 25 years, the two vessels are named in tribute to two iconic figures who lived and worked in Manchester and Salford, LS Lowry and Emmeline Pankhurst.
The cruises are available all year round for groups and individuals, providing unique venues to celebrate any occasion whilst discovering the world famous historic Manchester Ship Canal and Bridgewater Canal. During the cruises guests can enjoy views of the stunning, contemporary waterside developments spanning Manchester City Centre to The Quays.
The boats are available for everything from private charter events, including sit down meals or buffets, to Sunday Lunch cruises, historical cruises and match day travel to Manchester United Football Club.
City Centre Cruises is a welcome addition to The Quays, adding to its wealth of exciting places and activities to see and do. Housed within one square mile, all of its attractions are within easy walking distance, making it the ideal location for a day out or weekend break. The Quays is a one-stop destination for entertainment, dining out, arts, culture and shopping!
